Robert Yap

Robert Yap is a senior attorney with nearly 15 years of experience in labor and employment law defending employers across various industries against wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims under California and federal law. Robert's practice includes providing advice and counseling to employers regarding compliance with California and federal employment law, employee complaints, investigations, employee discipline, reasonable accommodations, leaves of absence, and DEI matters.

Robert also has extensive experience in general liability, personal injury, and tort litigation defense including high exposure, catastrophic bodily injury and wrongful death claims. He was selected to Super Lawyers Southern California Rising Stars for Civil Litigation: Defense from 2015 to 2019.

Robert is experienced defending public entities in labor and employment and general liability litigation as well as in civil rights and constitutional matters and petitions for writ of administrative mandamus. He served as general counsel for two public entities.

Robert is an experienced litigator, who handles all stages of litigation from discovery and depositions, law and motion, trial, through appeal in both the California state and federal courts. He successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit.
