Morgan Schick

Morgan Schick advises organizations in the telecommunications and technology industry on a wide variety of regulatory policy and transactional matters before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), National Telecommunications Association (NTIA), and state public utility commissions.

Morgan has assisted both small and large telecom companies in obtaining regulatory approvals for license transfers at both the federal and state level. Morgan recently supported a major telco in an internal reorganization and refinancing effort that involved numerous bond offerings.

Morgan has also provided strategic advice to telecommunications providers and device manufacturers on a range of telecommunications regulatory issues and has drafted comments for members of the telecom industry regarding 5G security, the FCC's equipment authorization process, the Universal Service Fund and other federal funding programs, public safety, net neutrality and the legal classification of broadband, and more.

Morgan has represented industry associations in appellate litigation involving the constitutionality of the FCC's Universal Service Fund and co-authored amicus briefs before the US Supreme Court for tech-focused think tanks in cases involving Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

Morgan joins AKD Partners from a national telecommunications law firm. During law school, Morgan served as the Executive Editor of the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal. Her legal experience also includes internships with the FCC and NTIA.
