Victor Sanlorien Cobo

Victor is a lawyer and tax adviser based in AKD Partners’s Singapore office. He specialises in Singapore and international tax, with a focus on structuring and transaction-based advice for asset management, real estate, financial services, multinational corporations, family offices, and private clients.

Victor regularly advises on cross-border transactions, coordinating tax advisers across Asia and Europe, and has experience with transactions involving the US, Latin America, and the Middle East. His expertise includes fund formation and tax structuring for Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, ESG, Venture Capital, Hedge Funds, Digital Assets, Private Debt, and Shari’a-compliant investments across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the US, and the UK. He also advises on primary investments and secondary market transactions.

Victor is highly experienced in representing limited partners in primary commitments, co-investments, continuation vehicles, funds-of-funds, and bespoke strategic investment arrangements across all asset classes.

He also advises sovereign wealth funds and pension funds on their Singapore operations.

In addition, Victor has extensive experience in wealth planning, assisting high-net-worth individuals, trustees, and family offices with trust and family office structures. His background includes significant work on M&A transactions, tax insurance, and W&I.

As a native Spanish speaker, Victor supports Spanish and Latin American clients establishing operations in Singapore, serving as their main point of contact in the APAC region.

Prior to joining AKD Partners, Victor worked in the Luxembourg office of a Big Four accounting firm in the Alternative Investments and M&A Tax Department, where he was a member of the APAC Service Group.
