Cameron A. Fine

Cameron Fine represents clients from a wide range of industries, including the technology, software, information technology, asset manager and financial services, healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, sports, travel and hospitality, and real estate sectors, in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts, as well as domestic and international arbitration.

Cameron has represented clients in disputes involving intellectual property litigation, the Defend Trade Secrets and Uniform Trade Secrets Acts, internal investigations, shareholder and partnership disputes, real estate disputes, lending disputes, contract disputes, fraud, fiduciary duty, securities fraud and class-action litigation.

Cameron is a leader in AKD Partners's trade secrets practice group. He is also a member of the Sedona Conference Working Group on Trade Secrets (WG12) and a contributing editor of the Sedona Conference Commentary on Sharing Trade Secrets with Other Organizations. Among Cameron's cases is a ruling obtaining preliminary injunction against a foreign corporation for misappropriation of a domestic medical device manufacturer's trade secrets. He subsequently won in the United States Court of Appeals establishing new law concerning the extraterritorial application of the Ohio Uniform Trade Secrets Act. He also obtained dismissal of misappropriation of trade secrets claims in the District of Arizona establishing law in Arizona that continuing use or disclosure of a trade secret after initial misappropriation constitutes a single claim accruing at the time of the initial misappropriation that can be released, whether known or unknown at the time, by a settlement agreement. Cameron's work in the technology, software, information technology financial services, healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, real estate, and sports sectors includes work touching on both domestic and international procedural and substantive issues in state, federal and international tribunals.

Cameron's experience includes representation at all stages of litigation, including initial case investigation, discovery, contested hearings and oral argument, trial and appeal.

Before practicing law, Cameron worked in commercial real estate development in Arizona and California. In his free time, Cameron enjoys traveling, golf, and wine. He also played college football while at Yale University.
