Sergio Barboza brings a wealth of experience in a diverse range of transactional and banking regulatory matters. His expertise includes the formation and acquisition of financial institutions, the issuance of debt and equity securities, and strategic advice on all facets of banking supervision.

Sergio is a trusted advisor for financial institutions and corporate borrowers in lending transactions and loan restructurings. He represents a distinguished roster of clients and facilitates impactful financing initiatives.

In addition to his legal practice, Sergio holds board positions in several companies, particularly financial entities under the oversight of Peruvian banking authorities. He is also committed to the advancement of knowledge in the field, serving as a professor in Banking Law at the Universidad de Lima, where he participated in the Master’s in Corporate Law program and at other esteemed institutions.
